A: BiON Research was started in 1997 in San Diego, California by Glen Lockhart who remains with the company as Senior Director of Research.

A: Yes, BiON Research is proud to be a family owned company with headquarters now in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Q: Where are BiON’s products made?
A: All BiON products are manufactured in the USA with our packaging and distribution center being in Lincoln, Nebraska. BiON specializes in “small volume” manufacturing to assure all BiON products are fresh with full natural potency.
Q: How soon will I start seeing results from using BiON Research skin care products?
A: BiON products go to work immediately within the skin but visible results will vary with every person because each of us is different in our skin condition and physiology. By using BiON’s skin care products as directed by the skin care professional, clients should see improvements within a few weeks. The immediate results for clients using BiON products are increased hydration, softness and the skin feeling more moisturized. Products with peptides will cause small muscle tightening, which is felt right away. Acne takes time to completely heal, but there will be a noticeable improvement by at least the 5th week of treatment.

Q: Do you offer trial/travel sizes?
A: BiON offers many products that meet the airline regulations for package size. We offer 1.2 oz travel sizes in our two Acne Control Kits and 0.5 oz travel sizes in our Dramatic Differences Anti-Aging Kit. A total of 54% of our products are packaged in containers that meet the TSA size standards for air travel. All three kits will last from 4 to 6 weeks, which makes them perfect trial sizes.
Q: Are your skincare products paraben-free?
A: Yes, BiON’s products are 100% free of parabens. BiON has been entirely paraben free since 2004.
Q: Do your products contain Benzoyl Peroxide?
A: Although we feel that benzoyl peroxide can work in some cases we take a strong stand in never using this ingredient in any of our products. The long term effects of this ingredient outweighs the benefits and through our research and development we have found other ingredients that are much safer and provide better results.
Q: What is the shelf life of the products?
A: All products will last at least one year with many of them lasting longer.
Q: Do you offer training classes?
A: We have how-to training videos on our YouTube page. You can find the link at the bottom of this page. We will add more in the future. We also offer free webinars. Q: What is the processing time of my order and how is it shipped.
A: If you call before 2:00 CMT your order will go out the same day. All products are hand filled at our Lincoln facility so all products are available all the time. We use UPS for most orders but if you would like a different type of shipping we always try to accommodate.
Q: Does BiON Research test on animals?
A: No, we have not and do not test any of our ingredients on animals. Newly developed products undergo a thorough laboratory testing followed by field trials using human volunteers.

Please be aware that unauthorized sellers on sites like E-Bay or Amazon have not been approved or certified by BiON Research. We cannot assure the authenticity or condition of any BiON Research products that they claim to sell.
Q: How can I submit a customer testimonial or before/after photos?
A: There are at least three options:
Q: What is your client product guarantee?
A: BiON products are guaranteed against manufacturing defect for a period of up to six months following shipping.
Products are guaranteed to perform the function stated. For example, acne products are guaranteed to control acne, when used as directed twice daily for a period of 4 weeks. BiON products are designed to perform in a very specific manner and achieve dramatic results when used as directed. If the BiON products fail to perform this function, the customer may return the products to the skin care professional for a refund of the purchase price and the skin care professional may return the products to BiON for a refund of the purchase price. Using products from other manufacturer’s can result in a compatibility reaction that will void the BiON product guarantee.
Q: What is your professional return policy for dealers?
A: BiON products are fully guaranteed. Prior to returning merchandise for any reason the dealer must telephone BiON so we can complete a “Return Authorization”. Damaged or defective products as a result of shipping or manufacturing must be returned within 30 days to receive a full refund. Products returned to the skin care professional for a refund from a client must be returned to BiON within 30 days of receipt of the product to receive a full refund. Refunds for merchandise that dealers elect to return to correct inventory imbalances are subject to a restocking fee.

A: Key product ingredients are listed for each product on this website. A full disclosure of ingredients is printed on each product container, is printed in the BiON Catalog, and is available from authorized BiON skin care professionals.

A: Shipping is provided to all dealers using UPS Ground. At your request, we do offer 3-day and 2-day UPS air and next day air service at an additional charge. COD is available at the current UPS COD charge. Initial orders cannot be sent COD. International deliveries are made using the most economical and reliable service available.

A: BiON does not ship to P.O. boxes.

A: BiON distributes a newsletter to our skin care professionals via email approximately every 30 days. The newsletter has news about our products, at-home treatments, insider tips, promotions, new techniques and much more. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Q: What is the professional section of this website and why can’t the public access it?
A: The professional center is for licensed estheticians, spa/salon owners and physicians only who currently carry our line or are interested in bringing the line into to their salon or spa.

A: BiON respects your privacy and does not sell or provide your information to any third party.
Q: Can I mix different brands of products?
A: We do not recommend it, especially for acne. BiON’s 3 step acne treatment is based on the proper use of all 3 products. Using a different cleanser, or not using the Green Tea/Clay Poultice can have a negative effect on the outcome. Most department store and Internet only products are sub-potent and will not provide the same results as BiON products.
